Submit a ‘Dee’ Story

Throughout her life, Dee had the uncanny ability to recall stories…they were funny, happy, bizarre or sad…often with a remarkable amount of detail - who was there, what happened…and even sometimes what someone was wearing (!) when the story took place. In her way, intentionally or not, she modeled the importance of stories in understanding life - the way it makes us laugh and sometimes makes us cry. Dee was truly the memory keeper.

As a way to keep her memory and the stories alive, we’re looking for meaningful moments and memories of Dee to tell Ava and Luka as they grow up - this could be anything from the first time you met her, a funny moment that you’d shared or even a story she used to tell you that stuck with you. The choice is yours.

The entries will be compiled into a printed book for each of the twins chronicling her life throughout her ages and stages.

You can submit multiple stories, one at a time, following the form below. Feel free to attach related photos of her with you or the kids.

It will be the greatest comfort for her to know that her memory is preserved for them, especially as they get older.
